Python, JavaScript or TypeScript, a modern frontend framework, backend services, and REST API integration.

Maintainable code, modular design, automated testing, Git, code reviews, and reliable error handling.

Data

Strong SQL, databases, data modelling, ingestion pipelines, and data quality for structured and unstructured sources.

Artificial intelligence

Applied ML, LLM integration, RAG, embeddings, vector search, tool calling, and AI evaluation.

Production systems

Cloud or enterprise deployment, containers, CI/CD, monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimisation.

Security

Authentication, authorisation, secrets management, sensitive data handling, and secure, auditable APIs.

Communication

Clear English, understanding business needs, ownership of delivery, and collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

A degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related discipline — or equivalent engineering experience.
